Meet The Herbalists
Benjamin Lavan and Ella Usdin are purpose-driven entrepreneurs, leaders in the Lancaster sustainability movement, and intentional land stewards. They bring nearly 25 years of collective professional experience in herbalism and industry-adjacent pursuits to Susquehanna Botanicals, one of three businesses that constitute their umbrella company, Susquehanna Sustainable Enterprises.
With a focus on seed-to-medicine ideology and a rigorous standard of quality, their ultimate objective is to maintain and grow a business model that adheres to a scrupulous ethical code whilst providing attentive, personal service and exceptional formulas for wholesale clients.

Susquehanna Botanicals prioritizes its commitment to the conscientious sourcing of its ingredients (including plants, carrier oils, and all other pertinent materials).
When each ingredient is researched, we first seek to forage it locally and regeneratively–if not possible, we look for a Certified Organic source. And lastly, if neither option is available, we ensure the ingredient is supplied from a GAP Certified Farm.
